Happy Earth Day!

Just a quick note to say happy earth day to everyone!  Saving our earth and the animals that make it so amazing (while I’ve never mentioned it on my blog) is very important to me.  And while I can’t dedicate a well thought out post to the topic (I’m in Farmville on a colleague’s computer,  getting ready to head to Raleigh, North Carolina), I did want to say that if you can, please take a moment to think about our actions and how it relates to endangered species in the world.  For instance, there are only 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild, fewer than 100 Sumatran Rhinos left, and fewer than 700 mountain gorillas.  What can you do to help?  Visit the Smithsonian Zoo’s facebook to take part in their Endangered Song act to save the Sumatran tigers, or visit the World Wildlife Fund‘s site to adopt an animal or donate to save countless of other endangered species.  Or, it’s as simple as spreading awareness to everyone you know about what they can do to help.

Thanks Ashley!! Such an important topic. People need to be aware of the status of endangered species and find ways to help in the battle against inhumane practices like poaching. To all who care…stay informed!
