Happy New Year

Today’s post is short and sweet, as I don’t know much about the topic and don’t have time today to research this object properly.  A friend of mine purchased a super awesome Soviet Union (now Russia) calendar from 1980 at a book sale in central Virginia.  The images inside are filled with a vibrant orangey-reds, dark blues, and white.  Many of the illustrations are sweet, like today’s.  It’s a 365 day calendar with illustrated pages for the days, and on the back of each day is a long explanation of something in Russian.  I can’t read Russian…but I do know that the image for today says ‘Happy New Year!’ and that it’s actually a page from yesterday.  I’ll revisit this calendar at some date in the near future, and it give it it’s proper send off. Hope everyone has a very Happy New Year! (with love, from Russia!)
