Udder Happiness

I stumbled upon this 1954 photo (and the LIFE website) a while back and fell in love with it.  I have 3 cats, one of which has a certain fetish for milk (my husband and I blame it on finding him when he was 4 weeks old and having to give him milk then-he always attempts to sneak a paw full of my coffee, which is usually more milk than coffee, when I’m not looking).  So, naturally, I thought this photo was fricken awesome.  Captured by Nat Farbman, along with the one below of the three little buggers getting their fill, is one in a series on farm life in Fresno, California.

They’re just too cute for words!

  1. I’ve seen the first photo many times, and love it too. The second one, I don’t remember — fabulous!
